Your book arrived last night and I could not put it down. I find it emotional, comical, and so refreshingly honest. Also love that you’re thinking of doing more directing! Congratulations on the book release!
I think in this observation driven economy fame is a resource just as valuable as money and the biggest difference is there is no "finance" class on how to deal either fame. Also thank you so much for reading to us last night at The Strand! It was super cool to meet you! This book is ironically snuggled right between I Would Leave Me If I Could and I'm Glad My Mom Died on my bookshelf.
Excellent!! I really enjoyed the event last night in New York and hopefully you liked the letter I gave you. Thank you for being an inspiration to South Asian creatives everywhere we are so eternally grateful!!!
I just wanted to say I’m sorry that I made you feel uncomfortable with the gift but I do hope the lapis palm stone and the palo santo stick bring you positive and creative energy!! And by the way you did give me a gift, I got to take a trip to the city with my hubby and be in a room with an incredible artist sharing his amazing work in such a beautiful place. So thank you for sharing your magic I am forever grateful 💛❤️🔥
Awesome interview! I own and love Mixed Feelings and look forward to Autopsy (preordered). Incidentally, it’s the only book mentioning that word I’ve ever been excited about. Loved your style and storytelling with Doormouse too!
I love what you said about fame as a currency. You have such a unique perspective on something many of us never even get a taste of. I can’t imagine grappling with that world, but I hope you know that you’ve definitely used it well. Beyond the heartthrob fame you’re a fantastic artist and true tastemaker. Your writing is gripping and inspiring. I will always keep an eye on your work because it resonates with me so much! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Also, s/o to you forever for being in my favorite show of all time, Now Apocalypse!! It introduced me to Gregg Araki and soon enough I was deep in the hole of queer cinema. Seeing stories that I actually resonated with as a member of the LGBTQ+ community was so formative and impactful on my gay brain. Thank you so much for your part in that! 🖤
Great interview! My copy is coming Friday (I preordered one of the Premiere copies), looking forward to reading it!

So honest. Thank you. (I would rather have less fame and more people who resonate with my work than the opposite. - so true)
